The piano is beautiful beyond our expectations. The shipping crate was
expertly done, and protected the piano well. It arrived in perfect condition.
Thank you for the opportunity to buy this wonderful piano.
Best wishes,
Anthony and Cheryl
I thought I would write and let you know my opinion of the piano 6 weeks later.
It is still beautiful! I play every day, and the tone and sustain is outstanding.
I had the piano tuned 3 weeks after it arrived. The technician also repaired the
pedal {the post had jumped into another hole during transport}. He also fixed
the sticky dampers, due to the extreme humidity of this place. It is still
losing its tune just a bit, but not as quickly as the first 3 weeks. I expect to
tune it again in a month, and I think it will hold much longer after that.
The technician who tuned the piano works at the local University, and rebuilds
pianos and builds harpsichords. He was extremely impressed with the quality of
rebuild on the Boesendorfer.
I am very happy with the piano, and you may use us as a reference any time.
Best wishes.

I am delighted to tell you about my piano buying experience because it was from
the first communication with Imre through the delivery (last week) so
extraordinary that I keep telling anyone, who will listen, about it.
Please understand, Matthew, I have very little faith in the excellence,
trustworthiness, and honor of mankind. My recent five-month search for a piano
only exacerbated my cynicism. Not only were prices astronomical, I felt as if I
were largely doing business with car salesmen.
Imre has been a breath of fresh air. I was, of course, uncomfortable (make that
– very uncomfortable) about purchasing a piano sight unseen – sending
thousands of dollars to someone upon whom I had never laid an eye.
|
Therefore, I contacted all of the references whose namesImre had sent to me. It
was impressive to hear, in detail, about his reliability – his high standards
of excellence and knowledge in the area of fine pianos – and the total satisfaction each and every person had with his/her piano.
Furthermore, through
a friend in Berlin, I received a list of Bluethners and Bechsteins being sold by
a dealer there. Prices were thousands of dollars higher than Imre's pianos. |
|
delivered more expeditiously than had I bought one in, say,
New York. (I'm in South Carolina.) The people who represent Imre – that is,
they who take the instrument through the American customs – were totally
cooperative and reliable.
The instrument itself arrived without a scratch or blemish. I never have seen
such packing before. Nor have I seen such superior craftsmanship – in all
aspects – technically and esthetically.
Imre is a rarity these days. We need his clones in every field and endeavor.
My piano research and decades of trying to be an informed consumer tell me I've
made the wisest purchase of my many years because of Imre Szabo, a man of great
honor.
Don't hesitate to communicate with me as often as you need.
Zacharias

We are ecstatic! The piano technicians who set the piano up for us really
noticed the quality work on the piano. We have usually cold temperature outside
today, the piano was a little out of tune when it was set up. But the tune is
getting better already.
This piano is beautiful and voice is wonderful! My daughter fall in love with it
right away. The whole class of my daughter's piano teacher will be able to enjoy
it next weekend.
The piano is in perfect shape out of the solid packaging except one loose key
top. Our technician glue the loose key top back on, but it is loose again. If
there is a special glue that he needs to use (because of Ivory) please let me
know.
Thanks for the wonderful instrument. I am also very happy with your service as
well. In fact, that is the one thing I learned from this venture. Good customer
service will bring more business. I will gladly recommend you to anyone who's
interested in buying a piano.
Keep in touch.
Best regards,
Sam Chen

The good news is that the
Bechstein is here, no damage, all okay with the piano. The Bechstein is very nice
and I like the way it plays and sounds. My expectations -- Piano is beautiful.
The polyester is shiny, like my Bosendorfer. From your pictures, I thought
it was a lighter brown color but it a dark brown, but okay. The action is
easy to play, the tones are quite bell-like, very percussive, and loud.
Probably the tuner will bring it down to suit the house. The length is okay and
fits by the window quite nicely. I can look out on the street when I play
and it is a quiet street with nice trees and houses, so it makes me happy when I
look out. It feels slightly different from my Bosendorfer, which has a
different touch. This is more like an old 1926 Steinway B I used to have.
...more percussive, when the hammer strikes, you get the tone. With the
Bosendorfer, I get a little more modulation. That's why it is nice to have
different kind of pianos. I am overall quite happy with it, Imre. Thank
you for your good work on the piano and for packing it so well. I am still
putting away bubble wrap, cloths, and the bag is huge. The movers tore the bag,
and I told them not to tear it, too bad. I am saving it in case.
Your guys did a great job in packing.....wow!
Ciao,

Dear Imre,
The piano is absolutely wonderful. I had it tuned yesterday and it resonates
beautifully. And it is also SO beautiful...very tastefully done. I'm
curious about the stick for the lid...it almost looks like bamboo. Is this
something Bosendorfer typically uses? It's very unusual.
I will try to take some pictures of it this week and send to you. It was
delivered perfectly. You did a marvelous job and I couldn't be happier.
Best regards,
David

Dear
Imre:
“Kaiser
Wilhelm Bluthner Grand Piano”
I
would just like to say how pleased I am with my Bluthner. The entire procedure
from start to finish was impeccable. Never have I dealt with such a thorough and
polite company on any transaction. Even though working abroad can be difficult;
I was kept up to speed on all progress of financial transactions and the pianos
intercontinental journey.
The
grand was safely installed at home within an hour and was in mint condition. The
pictures on internet can not do justice to your craftsmanship and restoration
procedures. It is now in a settling period before I tune the piano; although
even before this has remarkably stayed relatively in tune.
Again
I would like to thank you for your very kind business manner and your speedy
responses to my adverse questions throughout and look forward to having many
happy years with the piano in my family.
It would be virtually impossible to write how much I would recommend your services to anyone who would consider purchasing one of your pianos.
Please
thank on my behalf anyone who was involved in the restoration, logistics and
transportation.
Best
regards

It is more than two weeks since I greeted Imre at my front door, delighted to see at last the beautiful piano I had seen a few weeks earlier in Germany. The instrument still plays wonderfully well, and the freshness of the action is still there. The rich colours of the piano and the fine inlay make it more than an instrument. It is a fantastic piece of furniture in its own right.
Imre is a very
pleasant man to do business with. Pianos are his passion and it is so apparent
from meeting him that what you are buying is not something he considers ‘an
item’ or ‘stock’; what you are buying is something he will always remember. This
in turn acts as a reassurance that, because he has restored the pianos carefully
and affectionately, you will not be duped in the purchase.
The installation was quick, and it is testament to Imre’s concern for the instruments he is selling that he himself turned up to complete the installation.

Dear Imre,
I just had to write to thank you for my wonderful new piano and to say how
much pleasure it is already giving me. Its condition when it arrived was just as
you described it, i.e. like new and the sound is just sublime. Although you
thought that my house was sufficiently humid to sustain the piano in good
condition, I have taken the precaution of having a "Piano Life Saver" humidifier
fitted. The technician who carried out the work said my Bechstein was one of the
finest restorations that he had seen of such an instrument and said that if I
had purchased it in the UK the price would have been another 8000 euros. This
instrument is going to thrill me for many years to come as I am sure all your sales
do to your other customers. Of course I give you permission to use my reference
and to give my e-mail address to anybody who wishes to contact me. One of your
other references says you turn works of art into masterpieces. I wish that I
had thought of that because it sums up you and your firm's ethos perfectly. I
have only one problem which is that I cannot stop playing my lovely piano so
nothing gets done anymore! Just keep adding to your happy customers,
Kind regards,
John Russell
Dear Imre,
As you requested I am sending you some pictures of me on my new stool in
front of my Bechstein. The stool is absolutely lovely and is a perfect match for
my piano. I am very happy to report that I have achieved grade 1 in the first
six weeks of tuition and my teacher anticipates I should achieve grade two by
five months and grade three by the year end. Needless to say I am determined to
make four.
You were absolutely right about it not being possible to put the piano
upstairs so it lives in what was my small downstairs lounge and the lounge has transferred
upstairs. It certainly makes it easier to show off my Bechstein to visitors
without making it too obvious.
I am really looking forward to meeting you again and viewing some of your
other creations. I cannot thank you enough for the pleasure my instrument will
always give me but it is also quite clear from the references on your site that
people adore what you do and relate very personally to you. I know we all feel
very privileged to own German masterpieces so lovingly and perfectly restored to
their former magnificence and every last one of them is treasured. What you do
is very very special,
Kind regards,
John.

Hi Imre!
I haven't been able to write to you to thank you for your kindness on
all the process of crating and shipping the piano. It was assembled this
Saturday, and if I was happy with the piano that the pictures showed, I
cannot express how happy I am now that I've seen the real instrument. It's
gorgeous! It's still out of tune for obvious reasons, but I want to wait at
least a week or two for it to be settled, and I will have it tuned. For now
at least, it is a gorgeous instrument, with a beautiful sound and. Imagine
this: I took my sisters to see it, and now I have three offers to buy it!
Unbelievable! As soon as I have it ready on its definite place, I will send
you some pictures of it.
I was just wondering if you would have pictures of the restoration
process of the piano. I'm happy with it as it is, but I'm curious to know
how deep was the restoration you made. Only if you don't mind.
Thanks again, it was a real pleasure and luck to make business with you.
Best regards,
Francisco Aguilera

Hello from sunny Greece at last! I just arrived back home from my business
trip to the UK.
I'm writing to you to express my deepest appreciation about what you do.
My 170 J.Strauss Bosendorfer is just a stunner!
It was just a week ago when the shipping company contacted me about the
delivery of the Bosendorfer to my house. They were all really helpful and
I am very grateful to you because you cooperated with that shipping
company, which was one of the best and most professional I have ever work
with. Not only did they bring my Bosendorfer at my door, but they helped
me get it inside as well. Well, I do live on the ground floor but still
moving a 500kg box isn't the easiest of operations.
The crating of the piano was pure science. There was no way the
Bosendorfer could move about in that box, which was secured and locked by
more than 150 screws. Not to mention the wrapping material of the piano
and the separate box of the bench which was so much,I could hardly get it
inside the box again, to throw it in the recycle bin.
The matching bench is a beauty and stands very proudly next to the the
J.Strauss Bosendorfer.
And we just arrived at the most beautiful and complicated piece of art.
The piano. Two of my friends helped me move the piano in place and after
completing your step by step installation instructions we put it all
together. We made a mistake by putting the back leg at the front but we
soon realised our mistake and swapped them within two minutes.
I now wait for the two-week time to pass so as I tune my Bosendorfer for
the first time in Greece. It is hardly very little out of tune(and only in
very few keys), but I it is more than normal to lose its pitch through all
that long trip from Frankfurt to Thessaloniki,Greece.
When I first laid my fingers on her it was like nothing else I've ever
played. It is still very hard to capture with words, but the tone was
delicate yet strong, clear yet mysterious, aloof yet immediate. The touch
of the instrument was wonderful - so even and controlled.
I've already found that I can coax a surprisingly wide range of colors
from her. I think that has a lot to do with the action, which is new and
superb. I can play an absolute whisper or really make it roar. The sustain
goes on and on forever. The "feedback" is also incredible. You can really
feel the music both in your fingers and your feet through the precious
action and the handy pedals!!!
A world of perfection within a piano body! And of course all that with the
TLC given generously by that honorable man,Imre. I could not believe that
people with such devotion on their job exist till I met Imre and he showed
me around his premises. At the beginning I was a little bit anxious about
trusting someone I do not know and sending that amount of money. But
definitely if I ever want to buy a grand piano again I'll trust Imre
without a hint of hesitation!
Thank you so much Imre

Dear Imre,
Attached is a pic of me playing my piano. Here are a few words you might be able to use:
I am happy to recommend Imre Szabo and his business, "European Luxury Pianos". Recently I purchased a vintage 1921 Bosendorfer grand piano from Imre and it is just beautiful. The burl inlay is stunning. Obviously the workmanship on the restoration was good, as confimed by my technician. It is lovely to think that a 90 year old Austrian piano is now enjoying a new lease of life in Australia. The packing and crating were excellent - there was not a scratch on its long journey from Frankfurt to Down Under. My piano is giving us so much joy and it will be a real heritage for my family. Thank you.

Luxury Pianos in Frankfurt supplied me with a Bluthner grand piano reconditioned in Germany . Although I was unable, prior to purchase, to examine the instrument and had no previous business with this company, I was very impressed with their professionalism, communications by return and helpful business attitude that I decided to buy from them. The piano was dispatched fully crated for transport from Frankfurt to Prague and then air lifted to Russia this operation, everything was organised by Luxury Pianos took exactly 26 hours door to door.
The instrument supplied was beyond my expectations in quality and finish, three-weeks after delivery it was tuned and the first small concert was given, the result............all agreed that this instrument was superior in all respects to similar instruments costing twice as much. I have no hesitation in recommending Luxury Pianos of Frankfurt to any person considering the purchase of a piano.
